April Meeting: Personal Property Pragmatism, Problem Solving, and Pirates

The ASA Northern New Jersey April Chapter meeting will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 6:00 pm at Bistro 18, 18 South Fullerton Avenue Montclair, NJ 07042 (Phone: 973-233-0800) [Map]. Three Accredited Senior Appraisers of the American Society of Appraisers will discuss "Personal Property Pragmatism, Problem Solving, and Pirates," exploring some of the more unusual and amusing Personal Property assignments they've experienced in their 90+ collective years of appraising personal property in the areas of Decorative Arts, Residential Contents, Fine Art, and Photography.

Your guides for the evening will be Ellen Epstein, ASA, FRICS, CEO of the AARC Group; Lynn Magnusson, ASA, AAA, President of The Magnusson Group; and Jane St. Lifer, ASA, Senior Appraiser at St. Lifer Fine Art, Inc.

A graduate of New York University, Ms. Epstein has been appraising fine and decorative arts for over 40 years. She has been active in both ASA and FRICS in leadership positions.

Ms. Magnusson has been helping clients value and sell art, antiques, jewelry, silver, collections and home contents for over 20 years, and also provides fiduciary brokerage services.

Specializing in 19th and 20th Century paintings, prints, photos, posters and sculpture, Ms. St. Lifer works with corporate institutions, international artists, and private collectors.

Appraisal Clinic for ASA Members Only.  Members may bring one (1) item of personal property for a FREE opinion of value by Mmes. Epstein, Magnusson and St. Lifer.
