December Meeting: Holiday Dinner, Appraisal Clinic and Raffle

The December chapter meeting will be held on Monday, December 17, 2007 at Pal's Cabin in West Orange, NJ. The Board Meeting is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. followed by Networking at 6:30, and Dinner at 7:00. The guest speaker will be Robert J. Connelly, ASA of Bob & Sallie Connelly: Antiques, Auctions, Appraisals who will talk about Appraising Without Comps. Bob will also participate in an informal after-dinner Appraisal Clinic, assisted by Drew and Lynn Magnusson, AM so bring an item to be evaluated.

A popular speaker, TV and radio personality, Bob Connelly is a multi-disciplinary professional with impressive credentials as an auctioneer, real estate broker, and appraiser of antiques, collectibles, decorative arts, clocks and watches, classic cars, and sports memorabilia, to mention a few of his specialties. The three-time President of the ASA Hudson Valley Chapter, he is also a member of the Appraisers Association of America, the National Auctioneers Association, the National Association of Realtors, and other professional societies, including the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, which recently elected Bob a Fellow (FRICS) -- its eminent designation. Bob's appraisal assignments have been as unique as his interests, ranging from the Frank Lloyd Wright Martin House in Buffalo, NY to Shaquille O'Neil's personal sports memorabilia.

The program qualifies for one hour of ASA Continuing Education Credit. Bring a friend, a colleague, or family, and bring a contribution (gourmet basket, wine, perfume, golf or tennis item, etc.) or your corporate contribution for the Holiday Raffle. Dinner is $30.
